While approximately 80 million people have already received their stimulus checks, there are many who are still waiting on theirs to arrive. To add to the frustration, some are not even being provided with estimated deposit dates on the IRS’ website.

For those who find themselves in this predicament, here are some things to try that should help speed up the process, or at the very least help check on the status of the expected payment.

The IRS is now offering a place to check the status of your payment on IRS.gov by clicking on “Get My Payment”. This tool offers the ability for those who filed taxes for either 2018 or 2019, but didn’t provide a bank for direct deposit, to update their bank information to receive their stimulus check electronically.

The second tool offered by the IRS allows those who qualify for a stimulus check, but do not typically file a tax return, to enter their information so that they can receive a stimulus check. This can be found under the section titled “Non-Filers: Enter Your Payment Info Here,” and allows you to provide your bank information to the IRS.

Keep in mind, both of these tools require that you provide some personal information, such as your Social Security number for identification, as well as personal banking information in order to receive your payment directly in your account.
