To get started, go to IRS.gov/account. Once there, click “Sign in to your online account.” From there, you can access ID.me, which helps the IRS verify and protect your identity and data.
From the Account Home tab, you can quickly see your Account Status card displaying any amount owed. You can make a payment or create a payment plan through the View Payment options link. You can also view pending, scheduled, processed, canceled, or returned payment activity from the Payments tab.
You can also view your tax records in the Records and Status tab. You can see digital copies of certain IRS notices in the Notices and Letters tab.
