If you want to speak with someone face to face at the IRS, just go to IRS.gov/appointment, then click “find a taxpayer assistance center office.” Enter your zip code and then select which mileage radius you want to search within. Select the office listed, and make sure it offers the services you need.

Remember that you can get faster service with most tax issues on IRS.gov. From the “Contact Your Local Office” page, scroll down to “Get Faster Service” and click online. This takes you to the “”Let Us Help You” page, with links for everything you might. For example, you can set up a payment plan, get a transcript of your tax return, make a payment, check on your refund, and find answers to many of your tax questions.

If you still feel that you need to speak to someone face to face, go to IRS.gov/appointment and follow the prompts. On the day of your appointment, bring your personal identification, any letters or notices you’ve received, and any supporting documentation.
