Wondering when you’re going to get your Economic Impact Payment? Find out by going to IRS.gov/EIP. Get My Payment will tell you your payment status and delivery type when it’s available. Remember, most eligible taxpayers don’t need to do anything to get these payments. They’re automatic if you file the tax return for 2019 or 2018.

The payments are up to $1200 for individuals, up to $2400 for those who filed “Married Filing Jointly,” and up to $500 for each qualifying child. Social Security, including SSI and SSDI, Veterans, and Railroad Retirement Benefits recipients who are not typically required to file a tax return will also automatically receive payments.

Many Americans are not required to file a tax return, but they still may be eligible for an Economic Impact Payment. We urge people in this situation to visit IRS.gov now and share simple information using the “Non Filers: Enter Payment Info Here” tool. We urge people to share this information, especially to people they know don’t file a tax return, and don’t receive any federal benefits. For more information regarding the Get My Payment application, visit IRS.gov/getmypaymentfaq.

Finally, watch out for scams about the payments. Scammers are using email, phone calls, or texts. Trust the official source at IRS.gov/EIP.
